Mithun Chakraborty undergoes successful surgery in Kolkata

Veteran Bollywood actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty has undergone a successful minor surgical procedure at a private hospital in Kolkata. The surgery was performed to remove a metal plate that had been implanted in his right hand following a previous injury.

West Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari visited the actor in the hospital to check on his condition. Adhikari reported that Chakraborty is in stable condition and is recovering well. The actor had reportedly preferred to keep the details of his hospitalization private.

Chakraborty, a prominent figure in Indian cinema with a career spanning over five decades, is expected to be discharged soon to return to his residence in New Town.
