MitID users warned of phishing scams impersonating Nets

Digital fraudsters are targeting Danish citizens using sophisticated phishing emails that impersonate the company Nets. These fraudulent messages use official logos, addresses, and names to appear legitimate.

The scams claim that a user's MitID account has been blocked and pressure recipients to confirm or update their information via a provided link to avoid a three-week delay in receiving new codes or using payment cards. These links direct users to fake websites designed to steal MitID credentials, card details, and other personal information.

Experts advise that users should never click on such links, share codes, or approve MitID requests they did not initiate. If authenticity is in doubt, individuals should contact their bank or MitID through official channels rather than using links from suspicious emails.
