Mito HollyHock to acquire Hugo Leonardo on loan from São Paulo FC

Mito HollyHock has reached an agreement to acquire 22-year-old midfielder Hugo Leonardo from the Brazilian club São Paulo FC on a loan basis. The deal, reported by Brazilian media, includes no purchase option and will run until January 2027.

A product of the São Paulo youth academy, Leonardo is returning to competitive play after recovering from a significant anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained during the 2025 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. While he made a brief top-team appearance in the Brazilian Championship this season, the move to Japan is intended to provide the midfielder with more consistent playing time and professional experience.
