Mitsotakis Rejects Coalition Talks Amid Growing Scandals

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told the Open television interview that he will not pursue any post‑election coalition with other parties, emphasizing a policy of "self‑sufficiency" for New Democracy. He dismissed the prospect of an alliance with the party of Antonis Samaras and said that no agreement on a coalition government is being considered.

Mitsotakis also faced mounting criticism over numerous corruption investigations that have surrounded his seven‑year tenure. He highlighted that more than a hundred scandals have emerged, prompting speculation about a possible special‑purpose government before the scheduled elections. The prime minister signalled confidence in his electoral prospects while warning that coalition scenarios would undermine his party’s agenda.
