Mitsubishi details 2027 ASX VR-e electric SUV for Australia
Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) has released details regarding the upcoming 2027 ASX VR-e, an all-electric compact SUV expected to arrive in the Australian market in late 2026.
Built by Foxtron and based on the Bria platform, the vehicle will be available in several configurations. The LS, Aspire, and Exceed models will feature a single rear-wheel drive motor producing 171kW and 350Nm, with a 0-100km/h time of 6.8 seconds. A top-tier GSR variant will offer all-wheel drive with dual motors, producing 342kW and 700Nm, achieving a 0-100km/h time of 3.9 seconds.
All variants are equipped with a 57.7kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, which supports DC charging up to 134kW. The interior includes a 15.6-inch central display and a 9.2-inch driver display. Design work for the vehicle was handled by the Italian firm Pininfarina.
