Mitsubishi expands Eclipse Cross EV lineup with dual battery options

Mitsubishi is expanding the electric vehicle lineup for the Eclipse Cross by introducing two distinct battery options to cater to different driving needs.

An entry-level 67-kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery will be available, targeting urban drivers with a more affordable price point. This variant offers a WLTP range of up to 466–472 kilometers and supports DC fast charging at up to 165 kW, capable of charging from 15 to 80 percent in approximately 24 minutes.

For long-distance travel, an updated 89-kWh NMC battery will replace the previous 87-kWh unit. This larger pack increases the maximum WLTP range to approximately 641–650 kilometers. The updated battery also features improved charging performance, reaching 15 to 80 percent in about 28 minutes, which is roughly nine minutes faster than the previous model.

Both battery configurations are powered by a 160–218 hp electric motor and maintain a towing capacity of 1,100 kg. Standard AC charging is 11 kW, with a 22 kW option available. The new battery options are expected to be available by the end of 2026.
