Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter electric trucks expand operations and technical features

Mitsubishi Fuso is expanding the application and technical capabilities of its eCanter electric light truck. In Bratislava, Slovakia, C. S. Cargo has integrated the Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter into its daily operations for food distribution. The vehicle utilizes an 82.6 kWh battery and an electric Carrier Pulsor 400E refrigeration unit, which eliminates local exhaust emissions and reduces noise during early morning deliveries.

During its first three months of operation, the vehicle completed 164 trips covering 3,285 kilometers, resulting in an estimated CO2 saving of 1.5 tons compared to diesel alternatives. C. S. Cargo CEO Igor Káčer noted that the company is using these regular urban routes to evaluate electromobility as a long-term fleet investment.

Concurrently, Mitsubishi Fuso has announced updates for the 2026 eCanter model. New features include an automatic electronic parking brake and advanced driver distraction alerts. The eCanter, produced in Portugal, offers three battery options and supports both AC and DC charging. Fuso emphasizes a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to help businesses transition from diesel to electric commercial vehicles.
