Mitsubishi launches Eclipse Cross GLS in Brazil

Mitsubishi has expanded its Eclipse Cross 2027 lineup in Brazil with the introduction of the GLS version. Positioned as a new entry-level configuration, the SUV is priced at R$ 155,990.

To achieve this lower price point, the GLS version features several equipment reductions compared to higher trims. Notably, it lacks a 10.25-inch multimedia center, which is replaced by a storage compartment, and does not include a rearview camera or front USB-A ports. However, the vehicle includes preparation for audio equipment and features four speakers in the doors.

Standard features for the GLS include digital automatic air conditioning, a trip computer, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED taillights. Safety specifications remain robust, offering seven airbags, stability and traction control, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, Isofix, and ABS brakes.

The mechanical setup remains unchanged, utilizing a 1.5 MIVEC turbo gasoline engine producing 165 cv and 25.5 kgfm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission that simulates eight speeds. The GLS version features front-wheel drive and an independent suspension system with McPherson struts in the front and multilink in the rear.
