Mitsubishi Motors recalls 21,000 Delica vehicles over display defects

Mitsubishi Motors has announced a recall of approximately 21,584 Delica vehicles due to a defect in the electrical combination meter. The affected models, manufactured between December 23, 2025, and July 27, 2026, may experience failures where the LCD display does not activate when the engine power is turned on. This defect could prevent drivers from viewing the speedometer and warning lights.

The company will address this by rewriting the control program for the combination meters in all affected vehicles. This follows a previous recall in August for the Outlander PHEV, involving over 13,000 units, where navigation system software issues could cause screen freezes or failures to display camera footage during reversing or safety checks.

Separately, Mitsubishi has been noted for its disaster relief contributions, having donated Delica D:5 and Triton models to the Japan Car Sharing Association to support recovery efforts in the Noto Peninsula following earthquakes and heavy rains.
