Mitsubishi Outlander 2026 spotted in Vietnam

The next generation of the Mitsubishi Outlander, tentatively referred to as the 2026 model, has been spotted being transported on highways in Vietnam. This marks the return of the C-segment crossover to the Vietnamese market following a temporary suspension of sales in late 2025.

Unlike previous versions, the new Outlander is expected to be imported as fully assembled units (CBU) from Japan rather than being locally assembled. This shift in the supply chain may impact the vehicle's pricing due to potential import duties, posing a challenge against competitors like the Mazda CX-5.

The fourth-generation model features the Dynamic Shield design language and offers a seven-seat configuration, which is noted as a potential advantage for the local market compared to some competitors that primarily offer five seats. While the interior design is described as more traditional than rivals like the Honda CR-V, the vehicle maintains a higher ground clearance.
