Mitsubishi Triton leads Vietnam pickup segment in August 2026
The Mitsubishi Triton emerged as the leader in Vietnam’s pickup truck segment in August 2026, recording sales of 1,145 units. This represents an eightfold increase from the 141 units sold in July, marking a record high for the model in the Vietnamese market.
This surge allowed the Triton to surpass the Ford Ranger in monthly sales for the first time since August 2022. The Toyota Hilux recorded 562 units sold in August, while the Isuzu D-Max sold 29 units.
The overall pickup truck segment saw growth, with total sales rising from 1,887 units in July to 2,465 units in August, a 30.6% increase, despite seasonal consumer spending trends.
