Mitsubishi UFJ Bank expands Emutto platform with inheritance and wealth services
Mitsubishi UFJ Bank has announced the expansion of its “Emutto” life-stage financial service platform with two major new offerings: a digital inheritance platform and a premium membership club for high-net-worth individuals.
The digital inheritance platform, “Emutto Souzoku,” is scheduled to launch in the second half of fiscal year 2026. It aims to simplify asset succession through features such as a “Family Shared Note” for recording intentions, a “Just-in-Case Account Baton” to designate beneficiaries and asset ratios online, and a trust-based service to manage assets in cases of dementia. The bank intends to use AI concierges starting in fiscal 2027 to support family discussions and preparations.
Additionally, the bank will launch the “Emutto Excellent Club” in March 2027, targeting the top 2% of its customers by assets—approximately 750,000 individuals with at least 30 million yen in assets. This club will offer exclusive benefits, including a co-developed American Express Platinum credit card, remote advisory services, and preferential deposit interest rates. These initiatives are designed to increase deposits and prevent asset outflow during inheritance processes.
