Mitsubishi unveils 2026 Xpander Hybrid at Bangkok Motor Show

Mitsubishi has unveiled the 2026 Xpander Hybrid at the Bangkok Motor Show 2026. The new model, which includes both the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV variants, marks a significant mid-cycle update for the popular MPV line.

In Thailand, the first Southeast Asian market to receive the hybrid version, the Xpander HEV is priced at approximately $28,700, while the Xpander Cross HEV is priced at $29,600. The hybrid system combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 92 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque with an electric motor providing 112 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque, powered by a 1.1 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The vehicle features front-wheel drive, seven driving modes, and a chassis design consistent with previous models, utilizing MacPherson struts and a torsion beam rear suspension. Interior upgrades include synthetic black leather seats with bronze accents, an 8-inch LCD instrument cluster, and a 10-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
