Mitsui Fudosan establishes Physical AI hub in Kumamoto

Mitsui Fudosan has established the Physical AI and Semiconductor Infrastructure Center (PASTEC) in Kumamoto Prefecture. The company was selected as an operator for the Kumamoto Science Park, which aims to aggregate the semiconductor industry.

Physical AI is a key priority in the Japanese government's growth strategy. The initiative seeks to develop a unique path for AI application that differs from models used in the United States and China. While the region is seeing significant industrial growth due to the presence of major players like TSMC and Sony Group, Mitsui Fudosan is currently focusing on recovery efforts and industrial development following recent seismic activity in the area.
