Mitsui Fudosan to open Kyushu's largest outlet mall in Fukuoka
Mitsui Fudosan and Fukuoka Fudosan have announced the development of ‘Mitsui Outlet Park Fukuoka Marinoa’ on the former site of Marino City Fukuoka in Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City. Scheduled to open in April 2027, the facility is expected to house approximately 220 stores, making it one of the largest in the Kyushu region.
The complex will consist of two main sections connected by a bridge: an outdoor ‘Outlet Building’ featuring about 170 stores and an indoor ‘Harbor Building’ containing restaurants and a supermarket. The Harbor Building will include ‘MARINOA GOURMET TOWN,’ a food zone with 36 announced shops, including local Fukuoka specialties and a dedicated ramen zone. Additionally, the supermarket ‘Lopia’ will open a large-scale location on the second floor of the Harbor Building.
Entertainment features will include a ‘Harbor Park’ overlooking the sea, which will host life-sized statues from the ‘Monster Hunter’ series, and an all-weather BBQ area called ‘Grillpia.’ The site will include parking for approximately 3,300 vehicles, and new direct bus services are planned to connect the facility to Meinohama, Hakata, and Tenjin stations.
