Japanese automaker Mitsuoka Motor has unveiled a teaser for its upcoming two-seater convertible sports car, tentatively named ‘LA1’. The vehicle follows the company’s tradition of applying retro, classic aesthetics to modern automotive platforms.

Official previews suggest the design features elements reminiscent of classic cars, such as round headlights and prominent chrome bumpers, drawing comparisons to the first-generation Chevrolet Corvette. While specific mechanical specifications remain undisclosed, the vehicle is expected to utilize a modern chassis, with industry speculation pointing toward the Mazda Roadster (ND) as a likely foundation.

The formal reveal of the LA1 is scheduled for November 26, 2026, at which time Mitsuoka will disclose engine specifications, pricing, and equipment options. Public pre-orders are set to open the following day, November 27, 2026.
