Mitsuru Tanaka to host online lecture on Yuzuru Hanyu

Yamakei-sha has announced an online lecture titled ‘Yuzuru Hanyu — The Source of Expression Connected by Ties,’ scheduled for August 21, 2026. The event will be led by sports writer Mitsuru Tanaka, an associate professor at Shobi Gakuen University who has covered figure skating since 2011.

Tanaka will share behind-the-scenes stories from his coverage of the ‘Quadruple Axel 2026 Yuzuru Hanyu SPECIAL’ publication. The lecture will include exclusive interview footage and making-of videos from photo shoots to explore Hanyu’s evolution as an artist. Participants will receive an original Yuzuru Hanyu postcard as a bonus.
