Mivhed begins community and religious construction in Santiago
The Ministry of Housing, Habitat, and Buildings (Mivhed) has commenced the construction of community and religious infrastructure projects in the Santiago province of the Dominican Republic. The initiatives target the Hato del Yaque municipal district and the Baitoa municipality.
Minister Victor ‘Ito’ Bisonó officially broke ground on the construction of the Espíritu Santo Church in Hato del Yaque, a project involving an investment of over RD$10 million. The facility is designed to serve as a space for worship, community gathering, and social interaction. The project includes a 111-square-meter construction area on a 158.18-square-meter lot, featuring green areas, a sacristy, an altar, and meeting rooms.
Santiago Governor Rosa Santos noted that Hato del Yaque is one of the province's fastest-growing population centers and highlighted the importance of providing spiritual and communal spaces for its residents.
