Mivi to launch first 5G smartphone in India this September

Indian consumer electronics brand Mivi has announced its entry into the smartphone market with the upcoming launch of its first 5G device, expected in September. Known primarily for audio products such as Bluetooth speakers and TWS earbuds, Mivi follows in the footsteps of brands like Fire-Boltt by expanding into mobile hardware.

Technical details from Geekbench listings suggest the device, identified as ‘Mivi MVNOE’, may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The listing indicates an eight-core CPU configuration and an Adreno 613 GPU. The device is reported to run on Android and may feature 6GB of RAM.

The smartphone is expected to be positioned in the budget segment, with anticipated pricing below 15,000 Indian Rupees (approximately 1,280 CNY). If released at this price point, it could be one of the few devices in its category to feature a Snapdragon chipset.
