Mixed results for Hungarian sports in Debrecen and football

The 15th Indoor Senior National Swimming Championship was held in Debrecen, featuring the fourth annual Dr. László Rentka Memorial competition. The event hosted over 225 athletes aged 25 and older from 54 clubs, including international participants from Romania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

Athletes from Békés County performed strongly, with the Békéscsaba Senior Swimming Association securing 13 gold and one bronze medal, placing tenth overall. Notable individual performances included Éva Miklós from Békéscsaba, who earned five senior championship gold medals.

In football, Ferencváros expressed frustration following a draw against Debrecen, noting a lack of composure and precision that allowed the opponent to equalize. Despite the setback, the team remains focused on their upcoming match against Viktoria Plzeň, maintaining that their recent performances in European competitions have been stable.
