Mixx Technologies launches SxC™ Connector for AI infrastructure

Mixx Technologies, Inc., a US-based deep-tech company, has launched the SxC™ Connector, an optical connector designed for hyperscale AI infrastructure. The technology is intended for both front plane and backplane use, capable of terminating up to 24,576 fibers within a single rack unit.

The connector aims to address the increasing demand for high-radix connectivity required by mixture-of-experts and agentic workloads. By increasing radix, the technology seeks to reduce switching layers, thereby lowering latency, aggregate power consumption, and the number of components in the failure chain. Mixx plans to conduct live demonstrations of the connector at SEMICON Taiwan starting September 2, 2026.
