Miyagi Prefecture delegation visits Taipei to boost educational exchange

A delegation from Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, led by Assembly Member Keiichi Kikuchi, visited Taipei to strengthen educational and urban cooperation. The 13-member group, which included representatives from the Miyagi Prefectural Assembly, the Board of Education, and the Department of Economy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, conducted visits to the Taipei City Council, the Taipei City Education Department, and Taipei Municipal Daan High School of Industrial Arts.

During the visit, the delegation met with Taipei City Council Speaker Tai Shih-chin and officials from the Education Department to discuss future directions for school cooperation and educational exchange. At Daan High School of Industrial Arts, the group participated in campus tours and exchanged views on educational philosophies and practical experiences, including insights into Taipei’s experimental education models. The visit aimed to expand opportunities for student and school exchanges, fostering deeper ties between the two regions through education and tourism.
