Miyagi sake tour held for Bishu Concours 2026 judges

Following the 4th Bishu Concours 2026 Miyagi Tournament, a special tour was organized for 50 judges to explore the region's sake culture and local cuisine. The itinerary included visits to several prominent breweries, such as Saura in Shiogama, Ichinokura in Matsushima, and Kanbai Shuzo in Furukawa.

During the tour, participants engaged in a pairing seminar hosted by the Sendai Regional Taxation Bureau. This session allowed judges to experience how award-winning sakes from the competition complement various local ingredients. The event aimed to deepen the judges' understanding of the connection between the sake, the land, and the producers.
