Shin Ji-ae achieves JLPGA career Grand Slam and 30th win

Shin Ji-ae has made history on the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour by becoming the first player to achieve a career Grand Slam. She secured this milestone by winning the 59th Japan Women's Open Golf Championship at the Takarazuka Golf Club in Hyogo Prefecture.

Following a dramatic three-hole playoff against Japan's Shiho Kuwaki, Shin finished with a total score of 11-under 269. This victory marks her 30th career win on the JLPGA Tour, a feat that grants her a permanent membership (permanent seed). She is the seventh player in JLPGA history to earn this status and the first South Korean golfer to do so.

With this win, Shin has conquered all four major titles on the JLPGA Tour: the Tour Championship Ricoh Cup, the JLPGA Championship, the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup, and the Japan Women's Open. Her recent success follows a sponsorship agreement with Doosan Construction, under which she has secured two major titles.
