Mizuho and IFC launch $1b supply chain finance facility for APAC SMEs
Mizuho Bank has launched a $1 billion risk-sharing facility in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support suppliers and distributors across the Asia Pacific region.
Over the next three years, the IFC will provide up to $500 million in risk-sharing for various supply chain finance instruments, including receivables financing, payables finance, and pre-shipment financing programs. The initiative is designed to address working capital constraints specifically faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the APAC region. By linking financing to the credit strength of buyers, the facility aims to help businesses scale operations and meet production needs.
