Mizuno to release MIZUNO SKY PRIME high-cushion running shoes

Mizuno has announced the release of the MIZUNO SKY PRIME, the thickest and most stable running shoe in the MIZUNO SKY series to date. Scheduled for release on September 11, 2026, the company has set an initial first-year sales target of 56,000 pairs.

Developed under the concept of ‘360° Cushion, Stability, Comfort’, the shoe features a dual-layer midsole with a maximum volume of 41mm in the forefoot and 47mm in the heel. The top midsole utilizes a new material, ‘MIZUNO ENERZY NXT+’, which is designed to be lighter and more responsive than the ‘MIZUNO ENERZY NXT’ used in the bottom layer. To ensure stability despite the high stack height, the outsole features a wide design with a maximum width of approximately 125mm.

The upper is constructed from soft, flexible mesh, and the tongue includes a knit gusset to enhance hold and reduce foot movement. The shoe will be available in three colorways and is priced at 24,200 yen (including tax).
