Mizzou football enters final week of fall camp

The Mizzou football team is entering its final full week of fall camp as they prepare for the 2026 season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on September 3. Following a recent scrimmage, head coach Eli Drinkwitz provided updates on several key positions.

Austin Simmons, an Ole Miss transfer, has been named the starting quarterback. Drinkwitz noted Simmons' ability to learn from mistakes, citing his performance during the scrimmage. On the offensive line, Luke Work, a Mississippi State transfer, is expected to start at right tackle to protect the left-handed Simmons.
