French towns host summer festivals and markets in July-August 2026

The town of Thuir will stage the seventh edition of the free Arts au Soleil festival on 7‑8 August, featuring circus, dance, street arts and a closing concert by the punk band Les Wampas.

Méjannes‑le‑Clap’s office of tourism will host two night markets on 31 July and 14 August with more than 25 exhibitors each, offering local foods, crafts and live music by Diana Rauch.

A municipal parade in Avesnes‑le‑Comte on 27 July will culminate in a fireworks display between 22:45 and 23:15.

Hennebont will celebrate its biennial medieval festival on 25‑26 July with street performances, a historical reenactment market, and themed food stalls.

Bassoues invites the public to a “Bassoues a du talent” day on 2 August, offering workshops in pottery, painting and other crafts, plus a market of local producers.

In Strasbourg, a cine‑concert of Murnau’s Nosferatu will be performed on 31 July at Saint‑Pierre‑le‑Jeune, with organist Guillaume Nussbaum improvising live accompaniment.
