Mjällby AIF defeats Inter Club Escaldes in Conference League debut

Inter Club Escaldes suffered a 2-0 defeat against Sweden's Mjällby AIF in their historic debut during the UEFA Conference League League Phase. Despite controlling much of the possession and maintaining a proactive playing style with a high defensive line, the Andorran side struggled to convert opportunities into goals.

The match remained scoreless through the first half. In the second half, Mjällby took the lead in the 54th minute after a mistake by Jilmar Torres allowed Jeppe Kjær to create an opening, which Jacob Bergström capitalized on to score. Shortly after, Mjällby secured a second goal following a defensive error during a cross, leaving Inter Escaldes unable to recover despite their efforts to press forward.
