Mjällby AIF wins 3-0 in Champions League qualifying debut

Swedish side Mjällby AIF secured a 3-0 victory over Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League second‑qualifying round. Aki Samuelsen opened the scoring in the 18th minute and doubled the lead six minutes later, later describing the performance as "Helt sjuk känsla" (a completely crazy feeling). Jacob Bergström added the third goal in the 31st minute, completing a dominant first‑half display. Samuelsen missed a penalty in the second half, but the win gave Mjällby a comfortable cushion ahead of the return match in Gibraltar.

The result advances Mjällby to the third qualifying round, where they will face the winner of the tie between Georgia's Iberia Tbilisi and Slovakia's Slovan Bratislava. A further playoff round could follow, offering routes into the Europa League or Conference League if the club were eliminated later in the Champions League pathway.
