ML System to equip 200‑metre New York tower with photovoltaic facades
Polish technology company ML System will supply its PhotonWall building‑integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) panels covering 2,600 m² for a new 55‑story, 200‑metre tower under construction in Long Island City, New York. The development will contain 636 residential units and commercial space, and the façade system is expected to generate about 102 MWh of electricity per year.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in September 2026, with the contract running through December 2026. The client is U.S. firm Helios Facade LLC, which specialises in high‑rise photovoltaic façades. This project marks ML System’s first high‑rise installation in the United States and will become the tallest building worldwide to use the company’s BIPV technology, surpassing a similar tower the firm completed in Vienna. ML System is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and reported consolidated revenue of 122.85 million PLN in 2025.
