Málaga Airport expects 2,507 flights this weekend
Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is preparing for a high volume of air traffic during the final weekend of August. Between Friday, August 28, and Monday, August 31, a total of 2,507 flight operations are scheduled.
According to data from Aena, this represents a 4.6% increase in operations compared to the same period in 2025. The surge is attributed to the seasonal return of tourists and residents following the summer holiday period.
International travel will dominate the weekend's activity, accounting for 2,033 of the planned movements, while 474 flights are domestic. Friday is expected to be the busiest day with 647 operations, followed by Sunday with 642, Monday with 613, and Saturday with 605.
