Málaga announces international aid funds and consular services
The Málaga Provincial Council has announced a call for subsidies totaling 538,000 euros to support non-governmental development organizations (NGOs) in international cooperation projects. The funding is divided into three distinct lines of aid: sustainable development projects with a maximum of 59,999 euros per project, humanitarian actions and human rights initiatives also capped at 59,999 euros, and education for sustainable development and global citizenship with a maximum of 20,000 euros per project.
Antonia Ledesma, Vice President of Citizenship and Territorial Balance, stated that the objective is to combat poverty, assist populations affected by humanitarian crises, and increase awareness regarding global inequality. Interested entities with a registered office or delegation in the province must submit applications by September 18.
Separately, the Consulate General of Paraguay in Málaga will hold a consular day in Estepona on September 19. This event aims to provide essential administrative services to the Paraguayan community on the Costa del Sol, allowing residents to renew passports, collect documentation, and manage civil registry matters without traveling to Málaga. The session will take place at the Estepona City Council from 09:00 to 15:00.
