Málaga CF sits bottom of LaLiga after defeat to Getafe

Málaga CF sits at the bottom of the LaLiga EASports table following a 1-0 defeat against Getafe. The loss leaves the team with only three points after seven matchdays, making them the only side in the division yet to secure a league victory.

During the match at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, Málaga saw a potential lead by Carlos Dotor disallowed due to a narrow offside decision. The VAR review was delayed by approximately 90 seconds after the semi-automated offside system failed to provide an immediate result. Despite efforts from goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero, who played through a head injury, Málaga was unable to convert possession into goals.

As the league heads into an international break, Málaga remains two points away from the safety zone, trailing Valencia, who currently holds fourth from the bottom with four points.
