Málaga hosts Greencities event to advance urban innovation and mobility

The Greencities Urban Intelligence and Smart Mobility event concluded in Málaga, focusing on innovation in urban management and collaboration between public administrations and the business sector. The conference brought together over 2,400 attendees representing more than 80 municipalities and 200 entities to discuss digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability, energy, water, waste, and mobility.

During the event, the Forum of Mayors of Málaga presented several metropolitan initiatives aimed at addressing regional challenges. These include a supramunicipal housing map and a network of interceptor parking lots linked to the Cercanías C2 train line. The forum also reviewed progress in priority areas such as the integrated water cycle, sustainable mobility, affordable housing, energy, industry, and waste management.

In recognition of entrepreneurial talent, the Greencities 'Call for Startups' honored TECO Mobility for its contactless rental bicycle solution. Other finalists included 3HUB by Biotonomy, Launch4, and Bideroad.
