Málaga leads Transavia sales in Spain during summer surge

Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of Air France-KLM, has identified Spain as its largest international market following a significant summer surge. During July and August, the airline's French and Dutch branches saw substantial growth in passenger numbers and seat sales.

Málaga emerged as the top-performing destination for both branches. The Paris-Orly to Málaga route recorded approximately 68,000 seats sold, while the Amsterdam to Málaga route reached 87,000 seats. These figures outperformed other major routes, including connections to Palma de Mallorca, Madrid, and Alicante.

Year-to-date data from January to August shows Transavia France transported nearly 2 million passengers to and from Spain, a 7% increase compared to 2025. Transavia Netherlands recorded 3.54 million seats sold on Spanish routes, representing a 10% increase. Looking ahead to the 2026-2027 winter season, the airline plans to increase flight frequencies between Paris-Orly and Málaga and has placed approximately 2.6 million seats on sale for its Spanish connections.
