Spain hosts diverse regional festivals and cultural celebrations

Various municipalities across Spain are hosting seasonal festivals and local fairs throughout September. These events feature a diverse range of cultural, religious, and social activities.

Religious traditions remain central to many celebrations, such as the festivities in La Peraleja honoring the Virgen del Monte, the religious processions in Molezuelas de la Carballeda, and the upcoming Ecce Homo in Noreña. In Ponferrada, the Día del Bierzo will include institutional acts and processions dedicated to the Virgen de la Encina.

Musical performances and entertainment are widespread, with artists like Azúcar Moreno performing in Paradai and El Kanka scheduled for Torremolinos. Other events include livestock exhibitions in Valdelugueros, traditional games like the bolo berciano in Ponferrada, and sporting competitions such as basketball in Argamasilla de Alba and running and cycling events in Albacete.

Local authorities are also managing logistical aspects, such as the modification of business hours in Caudete for the Moros y Cristianos festivals and the suspension of fireworks in Quer due to high fire risks caused by elevated temperatures.
