Málaga Provincial Council presents Cardumen Deportivo Awards

The Provincial Council of Málaga held the second edition of the Cardumen Deportivo Awards to recognize teamwork and the contributions of local sports clubs. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 28, at the Uppery Club in Málaga.

Award recipients included Málaga CF, Tennis Rincón, CD Flamencos Amputados Sur, and Teatro del Soho CaixaBank San Miguel. The awards are part of the Málaga Compite initiative, which began in 2019 as a sponsorship program to support competitive sports and promote educational values through athletics.

Francisco Salado, president of the Provincial Council, attended the gala alongside Carlos García, the territorial delegate for Culture, Historical Heritage, and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga. Salado noted that the name of the awards refers to a school of fish, symbolizing the collective strength and coordination required for teams to achieve their goals.
