Madrid police investigate two violent deaths in Arganzuela and Leganés

Two separate violent incidents involving women have been reported in the Community of Madrid.

In the Arganzuela district, an 85-year-old man was arrested following the death of his 47-year-old former daughter-in-law. The victim was found in a residence on Calle Ferrocarril with apparent signs of strangulation. The suspect reportedly called a relative to report that he had committed a “grave act” and was waiting for police arrival.

In Leganés, authorities are investigating the death of another woman found in her home with signs of violence. Her father discovered the scene after being unable to contact her, noting the residence appeared ransacked. A knife with suspected bloodstains was recovered at the scene. The Homicide Group is leading the investigations for both cases.
