Málaga shooting investigation suggests victim was killed by mistake
A 20-year-old man, known as Nacho, was fatally shot in the Barcenillas area of Málaga. Preliminary investigations by the National Police suggest the victim may have been killed by mistake.
Authorities believe the three attackers, who are currently in provisional prison, intended to target a hitman they believed was watching them from a nearby bench. Investigators have ruled out any connection between the victim and drug trafficking or criminal organizations, noting that he had no criminal record.
The shooting occurred around 11:40 AM on a Friday in the Pinosol area. After being shot multiple times while sitting on a bench, the victim sought help at a local supermarket before being transported to a hospital, where he later died. The victim's mother released a statement describing him as a “good, hardworking boy” and expressed her grief over the extreme violence in the region.
