MLB All-Star Game 2026: Guerrero Jr., Caminero, and Soto Secure Starting Slots

Phase 2 of the 2026 MLB All-Star voting confirmed that Dominican players Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Junior Caminero and Juan Soto will start for the American and National Leagues. Guerrero Jr. won 57% of the vote to retain first base for the AL, surpassing Ben Rice, while Caminero captured 66% to keep shortstop for the Rays. Juan Soto placed second among NL outfielders behind Brandon Marsh.

Venezuelan representatives Ronald Acuña Jr. and Andrés Giménez fell short in the same round, with Acuña at fifth in the NL outfield race and Giménez at 28% behind Bobby Witt Jr. for the AL shortstop slot. Shohei Ohtani (NL) and Ernie Clement (AL) remain automatic starters from Phase 1. The All-Star Game is set for July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
