MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia nets over $67 million for city

The 96th Major League Baseball All-Star Game was held at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park, where the American League defeated the National League 4‑0. Outfielder Cody Bellinger earned MVP honors after a bases‑loaded single in the first inning.

The midsummer classic attracted more than 43,000 fans and is reported to have generated total revenues exceeding US$67 million for the city, including US$2.6 million in state taxes and US$5.5 million directed to local charities. Pennsylvania invested US$6.65 million in tourism infrastructure ahead of the event, anticipating over 100,000 visitors during the weekend.

The game continued the American League’s recent dominance in All‑Star contests, improving its overall series lead to 49‑44‑3.
