MLB prospects from Brewers and White Sox head to Arizona Fall League

Several Major League Baseball organizations have announced their rosters for the upcoming Arizona Fall League, a premier developmental showcase for young talent.

The Milwaukee Brewers are sending seven prospects to the league, headlined by outfielder Braylon Payne and infielder Eric Bitonti. Payne, a 2024 first-round pick, showed significant power growth this season, hitting 28 home runs across High-A and Double-A. Bitonti also saw a breakout year, improving his OPS from .761 to .916 and showing defensive progress at third base. Other Brewers participants include pitcher Ryan Birchard, pitcher Miqueas Mercedes, and three additional players.

The Chicago White Sox will be represented by nine players, including five prospects ranked in the organization's top 30. This ties them with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the most top-30 prospects sent to the AFL. The White Sox group features pitchers Nick Altermat, Jonathan Clark, Pierce George, Matthias Lacome, and Garrett Wright. George, recently promoted to Triple-A, is noted for his high-velocity fastball and slider. The roster also includes catcher Grant McGill and infielders Anthony DePino and Colby Shelton.
