MLB prospects selected for 2026 Arizona Fall League
The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is set to begin on October 3, 2026, serving as a developmental platform for top Major League Baseball prospects.
Former LSU pitchers Luke Holman and Fidel Ulloa have been selected for the league. Holman, a prospect within the Cincinnati Reds organization, has been assigned to the Peoria Javelinas following a season with the Reds’ Rookie League affiliate. Ulloa, part of the Colorado Rockies organization, will play for the Salt River Rafters after a season with the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats.
The Texas Rangers are also utilizing the AFL to accelerate the development of several top prospects, specifically targeting players returning from injury. The Rangers have selected eight players for the Surprise Saguaros, including pitcher Jacob Johnson, outfielder Paxton Kling, and pitcher Mason McConnaughey. All three are ranked among the team’s top 30 prospects and will use the additional playing time to recover from shoulder and wrist injuries sustained during their professional seasons.
