MLB returns to Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa
Major League Baseball is returning to the Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville, Iowa, for a game between the Minnesota Twins and the Philadelphia Phillies. This marks the third MLB game at the site and the first to be played at the new permanent ballpark, which features an 8,000-seat capacity.
Local officials expect over 10,000 attendees. Dubuque County Sheriff Joe Kennedy advised motorists to prepare for heavy traffic on the two-lane roads leading to the site and noted that certain entrances will be reserved for teams, staff, and VIPs. Navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze are expected to reflect planned road closures.
In preparation for the event, Phillies infielder Bryson Stott will wear custom cleats designed by NXT LVL Customs. The artwork on the cleats pays tribute to deceased Philadelphia Phillies legends, including Tug McGraw, Roy Halladay, Darren Daulton, Robin Roberts, Richie Ashburn, and Harry Kalas, depicting them emerging from cornstalks in a style inspired by the 1989 film.
