MLB teams announce roster moves and injury updates

Major League Baseball teams are implementing several roster changes and injury updates. The Atlanta Braves selected right-handed pitcher Elieser Hernández to the active roster, which resulted in placing left-handed pitcher Martín Pérez on the 15-day injured list due to low back inflammation. Additionally, Hurston Waldrep was moved to the 60-day injured list with a right elbow UCL injury. The Braves also activated Anderson Pilar, Kevin Kilpatrick Jr., and Brett Sears from the Gwinnett Stripers' development list.

In Milwaukee, veteran right-hander Brandon Woodruff provided an update on his shoulder injury. Woodruff, who has been sidelined for much of the season, is scheduled for further imaging on Friday to determine if he can begin throwing off a mound.

The New York Yankees have also made roster adjustments, optioning right-handed pitchers Luis Gil and Bradley Hanner to the FCL Yankees, while recalling Brendan Beck and Yerry de los Santos from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Meanwhile, broadcaster Michael Kay is set to call a Yankees postseason game for the first time in 25 years via ESPN radio.
