Mlekovita dairy exports to China fall by up to 30%
Polish dairy giant Mlekovita has reported a 20% to 30% decline in dairy exports to China. According to export director Magdalena Szabłowska, the decrease is due to China successfully developing its own raw material base and improving the quality of its local dairy production as part of a long-term goal to achieve food independence.
To offset these losses, Mlekovita is expanding its presence in other Asian markets. The company has seen increased sales in South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines, where there is high demand for milk and cheese products. The cooperative is focusing on markets that offer more satisfactory global prices and higher profit margins to support the development of its domestic raw material base.
