Mélisa Godet film La Maison des Femmes to release in Italy

The film ‘La Maison des Femmes – La casa delle donne’, the directorial debut of French filmmaker Mélisa Godet, is scheduled for release in Italian theaters on October 29, 2026. Distributed by Satine Film, the movie is inspired by the real-life Maison des Femmes in Saint-Denis, a support and healthcare center near Paris dedicated to assisting women in difficulty.

The narrative follows Dr. Diane Khoury, the determined director of the center, alongside a team including midwife Manon, trainee Inés, and nurse Awa. The film depicts their daily challenges in providing medical care, psychological support, and social assistance to women facing gender violence and other complex life struggles.

The project has received support from the Kering Foundation, which was instrumental in the creation of the actual Maison des Femmes. The release in Italy will be accompanied by several premieres.
