MLIT recognizes construction excellence in Shikoku and Chugoku regions

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has conducted its fiscal year 2026 awards for meritorious service in administrative affairs.

In the Shikoku region, the Shikoku Regional Development Bureau held an award ceremony in Takamatsu City on July 23. Awards were presented to 17 companies for excellent construction projects, two for safety, 18 for excellent business operations, and 135 individuals recognized as outstanding construction engineers in both construction and business categories. Bureau Director Akihisa Okuda presented certificates of appreciation to the representatives.

In the Chugoku region, Sanyo Road Kogyo Co., Ltd. was recognized with the Chugoku Regional Development Bureau Director's Award. The company's representative director, Eiji Akita, and engineer Yukihito Maruuchi were featured in local media discussing their technical innovations, safety management, and commitment to regional infrastructure.
