MLS teenagers Herrington and Gozo set for Premier League transfers
Two Major League Soccer teenagers are set to move to the English Premier League this summer.
Australian centre-back Lucas Herrington is transferring from the Colorado Rapids to Hull City. The deal is reported to be worth $15 million, with an additional $5 million in potential add-ons and a 15% sell-on clause. The 18-year-old, an MLS All-Star who recently represented Australia in the World Cup, will join Canadian forward Liam Millar at Hull City.
Separately, 19-year-old winger Zavier Gozo is in advanced talks to join Crystal Palace from Real Salt Lake. The deal is reportedly valued at approximately $15 million, which would set a new record sale for the Utah-based club. Gozo, the first homegrown Utah player to be named an MLS All-Star, is expected to become the first player from Utah to play in the Premier League.
